visual artists of all, genders, and nationalities aged 18 and above are welcome to apply.

the artist is responsible for their daily upkeep and self-maintenance. the resident receives a material stipend, and we provide 24 hour access to the studio space and accommodation. the residency also covers your travel expense to accra.

the residency runs for a minimum of 6 weeks and up to 3 months, depending on availability and the artist’s proposal.

successful applicants will be notified by the end of 2025.

applications must be submitted by individual artists only. if you wish to collaborate with other artists during your residency, you may arrange this after being accepted into the program. please note that the residency is only responsible for the accepted resident artist. any collaborators you choose to work with will be your responsibility to coordinate and manage independently.
